BIGOTS AT PLAY...
How religious bigotry remains both fashionable — and highly profitable — in a supposedly enlightened 21st-Century America.
BIGOTS AT PLAY
May 20, 2023
With the motto of ‘Once a Crybaby loser, always a crybaby loser’, a pair of them emerged in the news this week. This week’s pair were David Nielsen and CBS NEWS, for the hatchet job they did on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; all because axes Nielsen will forever grind, didn’t go his way. Had CBS possessed the full story, CBS wouldn’t have ended up looking like a braying jackass.
A little background on these sorry players, begins with Nielsen, who allegedly ‘left’ the Church in 2019. What makes Nielsen odious, pathetic, as well as hard to stomach, is when he carries on his ‘pay attention to me’ act, it’s clearly not his first rodeo. In other words, it’s a return ride on the Fake News Express, where I’ll be more than glad to torch his loser hide for the sorry manner in which he’s handled this.
My personal disgust and contempt with this weasel began with Nielsen, who undoubtedly broke the terms of the NDA he signed before he started work at Ensign Peak Advisors. I’ll get to him a little later, so for now, I’ll ask you to hold that thought, and the unquestioned contempt that’ll emerge therefrom.
In an article leaked to The Washington Post in its much-hyped and highly visited online (and print version) story December 17, 2019 that the Church has a net worth of $100 billion (US). I don’t know where he got the numbers from, but he was nowhere near high enough in Ensign Peak’s food chain to have access to the information top leadership has, nor would they see fit to release anything potentially damaging.
Employees of Ensign Peak Advisors—the investment arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—like any other Church employees, are subject to random worthiness checks with their local leadership figures (bishops and/or stake presidents) to see if they continue to meet those requirements for continued church employment, and that includes employment with Ensign Peak Advisors.
The thing with Nielsen was that after WaPo ran its story 3½ years ago, and the views and clicks had run their course, Nielsen actively sought to have the Church stripped of its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, thus exposing himself as the malignant little prick he has shown himself to be.
From that story, the IRS looked into it, and found a big ‘nothing burger’. With that, either ‘LoserBoy’ took it, or the IRS referred it to the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) on administrative grounds.
The end result there was the SEC levied civil—not criminal—penalties of $4 million against Ensign Peak Advisors, and an additional $1 million against the Church for failure to properly complete Form 13F in a timely manner, which probably made Nielsen’s unquenchable lust for revenge go limp. The Church—in the interests of full transparency—made a statement on its website here.
Well, time passes, and Nielsen develops the need for another fix, and sure enough, over at “See the BS (CBS)”—which has done a hatchet job against the Church before—well, they bought up Nielsen’s crap with climactic glee.
Knowing the regular television season was ending, that May was a ‘sweeps’ month, by and through which summer advertising rates were set, and they swallowed whole Nielsen’s inaccuracies, including the axes he’s been grinding nonstop. They ran with it, without any fact-checking, or considering that the WaPo story he hyped was now 3½ years old, and probably moldy. Just cheap-shot titillation; nothing less, nothing more.
We now move on to Turncoat Nielsen himself. On hire at Ensign Peak, he signed a lifetime non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which means he can never disclose to ANYONE the things he learned during his nine-year employment there.
Just as military personnel and corporate professionals—including doctors and lawyers—are bound by similar non-disclosures, Nielsen showed that by breaking his NDA, he is NOT a man of honor, he is NOT a man of integrity, nor is he a man who can be trusted with any work or trade secrets, and has thus made himself both radioactive, as well as unemployable in the eyes of any employer of consequence, especially those companies with government contracts.
Under NO circumstances is this petty, sorry excuse of a man to be issued a security clearance, on the grounds he turned on his employer before, thus cheapening himself to that of a modern-day Mata Hari, prostituting himself and whatever secrets he may have, for sale to the highest bidder. ***
